The part where the king killed the three ghost knight guys pissed me off because I just went through this long ass fetch quest to find you, then you send me on another one, just to tell me it doesn't matter.
#DARKSIDERS 2 KINGDOM OF THE DEAD PART 23 FREE#
Aesthetically it was drab and boring, story was just an endless swarm of "I won't help you till you help me", which I found dumb considering you are Death himself, you should kind of have free reign to do whatever you want in the land of the dead.

I figured there would probably be two hub areas because why not. Few months later tried again, then I beat it and got to go to the land of the dead. I loved the art style and the forgelands themselves was all good fun, but I put the game away for a few months because other games came out. I liked the premise of Death trying to revive humanity to save his brother, the beginning section on the mountain where you fight your way to Crowfather and eventually get teleported to the Forgelands was a great starting point to introduce you to mechanics and get me involved with the story. I started playing it shortly after I got it. And yet despite loving all those games, I can't seem to get the same joy from D2. I heard it was like a mix of Zelda, Prince of Persia and action games like God of War or Devil May Cry.

Head North after that to depart the ship and head toward the Arena.I got the game forever ago, it was free on ps plus so probably last year or beforehand. (If you have, Death Rides, that will open up the option “Kingdom of the Dead” and Death can question Draven about the Bloodless and be granted their quest). This opens up the option “Draven's Success”. Ask about “The Gilded Arena” to learn the name of your foe, “Gnashor”. Once on deck turn Draven again and he will have new conversations available. With all that collected it is time to depart the Eternal Throne and head for the Gilded Arena. You will find the Stone of Resistance hidden behind a curtain. The third is a Stonebite that is hidden along the Eastern Wall. Second is the Serpent Tome at the Northern point if the room. The first is to the left, a Boatman's Coin in one of the boxes there. At the bottom of the stairs there are 3 things of importance. Just follow the stairs down to the landing below. Take them down and smash up the pots and boxes for gilt and potions.

Head down the stairs and turn a sharp left to find the stairs leading below deck. Before leaving the ship it is important to head below deck. Whenever you finish your conversation with the Chancellor is when you finish the quest “The Lord of Bones”. You can also ask after both “Achidna” and “Argul”, your prey from Thane. Asking after the King leads to a reiteration of the quest on hand (plus Death opts not to spare the Chancellor later) and it leads to the “Your Master” option in the conversation. After that you can talk with Chancellor to learn more about things. When Death asks where the Arena is the ship shakes as it docks at the Gilded Arena. Only then he will be allowed to speak with the Dead King. The Chancellor will appear after that and tell Death that he must first prove his worth in the Gilded Arena. Attempting to enter is met with resistance as the guards refuse to let Death in.

After that cheery conversation head up the stairs to the doors that lead toward the Throne Room.

He won his freedom in the arena but then he was drafted into the Dead King's Service. He says that he hails from the Kingdom of Man. With “I don't know you” to learn who Draven was in life. The Chancellor is a sore subject for Draven as he lashes out some at him. Death can ask “Chancellor?” or “I don't know you”. Pick up some new tricks then talk with him some again. He is another trainer that will teach Death more combat moves. There is not a lot to see on deck but you do want to find and talk with Draven for certain.
